What Causes Hair Loss? Hair loss is one of the most common problems among both males and females. Hairs contribute to the looks of a person so; everyone is more concerned about them. Seasonal change and aging are some of the common underlying causes behind hair loss but these are not the only ones. Hair loss could be temporary which occurs around certain time period or during some health issues. On the other hand, hair loss could also be permanent which the real concern for many is.  Here, in this article we will try to understand what causes hair loss followed by symptoms and remedies.

Falling of 50 to 100 hair strands daily is normal these days. If, one notices some hair strands on the comb after combing then, there is no need to worry about it. •    Medication side effects: Medicines prescribed to treat diseases like cancer, depression, heart-related complications, etc. – causes hair loss in many people.
•    Hair loss due to disease and health conditionsCertain diseases like alopecia areata, thyroid-related problems, or infections like ringworm can also cause hair loss.
Apart from these diseases, change in the level of hormones in the body, pregnancy, and menopause in females, and taking radiation therapy contribute majorly to hair loss, in most of the cases. But hair loss due to these reasons is temporary and gets back to normal  with time.  
•    Stress: Stress also contributes to hair loss. Stress, due to family problems, work-related, education-related cause changes in hormones which in turn increases possibility of  hair fall.
•    Blow drying, hair styling, using too many hair products on the scalp, low hemoglobin count, aging, significant weight loss, smoking, etc. – are certain other factors responsible for hair loss.

Hair loss is not a disease but  just a result of nutrients and hormonal imbalance in most of the cases.  It can be cured easily by taking certain measures.
